Statewide mental health agency names clinical director

Health Affiliates Maine, a statewide mental health and substance use agency, has promoted Kate Marble to the position of clinical director.

In her new role, Marble will provide overall direction for the agency's clinical departments. She will analyze service trends, monitor regulations, conduct licensing surveys and insurance audits, and address the needs of behavioral health professionals.

Since Health Affiliates Maine’s founding in 2010, Marble has advocated for behavioral health professionals and helped drive the agency’s mission forward. She most recently served as the case management program director, a position she held for 14 years.

Marble expanded the program throughout her tenure to include targeted developmental case management, behavioral health home services and veterans' case management.

“Kate has been a pillar of this organization, standing always for our mission and vision as an agency, supporting and encouraging our staff in their work and the agency’s culture, and being a vocal advocate in Augusta and beyond for availability and access to behavioral health services,” said Andrea Conley, executive director of Health Affiliates Maine. “Her promotion to clinical director is a well-deserved recognition of her contributions."

Marble has served on the boards of directors of Safe Voices and the Women’s Wisdom Center and is on the board of the National Association of Social Workers-Maine.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in health education from the University of Maine at Presque Isle and a master’s in social work from the University of New England.

“I am honored and grateful for the opportunity to serve as the clinical director at Health Affiliates Maine,” said Marble. “I am committed to supporting Maine’s behavioral health professionals and working towards further enhancing the quality of care they provide. I am enormously proud of the team I get to work with at HAM and the commitment we all share to help the helpers.”

Headquartered in Auburn, Health Affiliates Maine has clinical offices in Augusta, Ellsworth, South Portland and Wilton. The agency's statewide network of clinicians, case managers and behavioral health home teams provides outpatient therapy, substance use counseling, case management and psychiatric treatment.
