As a certified financial planner looks at 2020, she sees challenges around hiring and an increasingly competitive market.
As Susan Veligor, a certified financial planner at Cornerstone Financial Planning, looks ahead to 2020 she sees challenges around hiring and an increasingly competitive market.
“There is a lot of competition for clients because there are that many more firms out there,” Veligor said.
Cornerstone has four staffers in Portland and one in Newington, N.H., Jill Boynton, the second principal in the company.
It offers fee-based financial planning, investment management and divorce planning. It is a certified B Corporation.
“[There is] an increased interest in responsible investing and we hold ourselves out as having that capacity,” Veligor says.
It is also a women-focused financial firm. “We are female-owned,” says Veligor. “That’s unusual in the financial world.”
