More than a week after the town of Brunswick gave the thumbs-up to a 160-panel solar array to be installed atop the Fort Andross Mill, the Brunswick-Topsham Land Trust announced that a 286-panel, 76-kilowatt solar farm will be erected at the Crystal Spring Farm on Pleasant Hill Road.
The Forecaster reports that the $300,000 solar project will be owned by the Crystal Spring Farm Community Solar Association nonprofit organization, which consists of eight members who will manage the farm.
Crystal Spring Farm will use 44% of the energy produced by the array, while the remaining 100,000 kilowatt hours will be divided among the seven other member households in the nonprofit.
