Anthem ranked in top 20 health care plans

U.S. News & World Report ranked Maine's Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield No. 16 on its list of the 250 best health care plans in the country.
Anthem scored in the 90th percentile in the news magazine's assessments of preventive cancer screenings, cholesterol management, diabetes care, antidepressant medication management and access to care, according to a release from the company.
The assessments were performed by the magazine and the National Committee for Quality Assurance, a private, nonprofit organization advancing health care quality. NCQA accredits and certifies a wide range of health care organizations.
