Scarborough-based coffee shop chain Aroma Joe’s has expanded its reach to Maine's Midcoast with the opening of a location in the city of Rockland.
Based at 182 Camden St., about two miles from downtown and about a mile from a Dunkin' at 632 Main St., the Rockland Aroma Joe's will be staffed by 16 employees.
The new location is led by Gregory Shpunder and Tammy Birkbeck, who also own an Aroma Joe’s shop at 268 Depot St. in Unity.
Recently, the company opened a location on Payne Road in
Scarborough, and another in
Bethel. Aroma Joe's is led by President David Tucci, who joined the company in 2021 and was promoted to his current role in
2024.
Store details
The Rockland location is a new 1,016-square-foot store with a drive-thru, walk-up window and outdoor patio.
The new location will offer Aroma Joe’s typical fare, including coffee, espresso, energy drinks, soft drinks and food options.
Aroma Joe’s was launched in 2000 in New Hampshire and later moved to Maine. Today, the chain has 133 locations across Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, New York, Connecticut and Florida.
