The Sabattus store will be owned and operated by franchisee Cody Currier, who also owns and operates the Aroma Joe’s on Lisbon Street in Lewiston, which has been open for five years.
Scarborough-based coffee shop chain Aroma Joe’s will expand its reach in Androscoggin County with a new location in Sabattus expected to open this September.
The planned drive-thru, located at 89 Sabattus Road in the 5,400-population town will be the second Aroma Joe's in Maine built using the company's new store prototype, following the opening of a location on Haskell Road in Bangor in 2025.
The design features a more streamlined building with a smaller footprint, more color and large graphics. The company said the design is also less expensive and faster to construct, making it easier to replicate at future locations.

The Sabattus location will be a 750-square-foot drive-thru, offering Aroma Joe's typical fare from coffee and energy drinks to a range of food options.
Aroma Joe’s was launched in 2000 in New Hampshire and later moved to Maine. Today, the chain has 138 locations across Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, New York, Connecticut and Florida.
