A 26-year-old Aroostook County inventor is courting investors for his futuristic, fully-enclosed snowmobile — The Phantom.
The Bangor Daily News reported that Kyle Anderson is taking his invention, featured in a 2012 issue of Popular Science, on a nationwide tour he’s promoting on Facebook to generate interest in mass production of the craft.
With $1,500, Anderson pieced together the invention, using a seat of an old Lincoln Continental and an Indy 500 motor, but he’s hoping the ride will attract a lot more investment.
