Bangor International Airport officials are eyeing a $10 million overhaul for the first floor of the airport’s domestic terminal, which was last renovated in the 1970s.
The Bangor Daily News reported that designs for the renovation are still in the works to bring more queuing space, upgraded heating and lighting and a new elevator to the airport, along with other improvements that could begin in early 2014.
Tony Caruso, the airport’s director, told the paper that the project would be funded by passenger facility charges, which airports generate from a ticket fee.
