Explore Bangor, the downtown bike, kayak and paddleboard rental company that opened in April, is now offering pedicab service between West Market Square in the city’s downtown, the Cross Insurance Center and Bangor’s waterfront.
The Bangor Daily News reports that Explore Bangor’s owner, Jamie McDonough, has bought two- and three-seat pedicabs that will usher concert goers on performance nights between downtown and the city’s waterfront.
For now, the pedicab service is operating as a courtesy service with drivers accepting tips, but McDonough is looking at the licensing that would be needed to turn the service into a full-fledged business offering, according to the BDN.
