Bangor Savings Bank Foundation recently made $215,450 in grants to 18 nonprofit organizations based in Maine and New Hampshire.
The foundation awards grants, ranging from $2,000 to $25,000, four times a year to nonprofits with worthy initiatives that make communities in Maine and New Hampshire more prosperous, livable and vibrant.
The recent grant recipients were:
- Northern Maine: The Northern Lighthouse Inc., Presque Isle; Town of Greenville, Greenville; Northern Forest Center, Inc., Millinocket.
- Midcoast region: The Knox County Homeless Coalition, Rockland.
- Bangor region: Eastern Area Agency on Aging, Bangor; Four Directions Development Corp., Orono; Health Equity Alliance, Bangor; Maine Audubon Society, Holden.
- Downeast Maine: Downeast Institute, Beals; Jackson Laboratory, Bar Harbor.
- Western Maine: The Trust for Public Land, Bethel.
- Southern Maine: Camp Ketcha D/B/A Portland Gear Hub, Portland; Casa Inc, Westbrook; Saint Joseph’s College, Standish.
- Northern New Hampshire: North Country Community Recreation Center, Colebrook.
- Southern New Hampshire: Seacoast Community School, Portsmouth; Soul Models, Dover; Wentworth-Douglass Hospital, Dover.
