A retirement home in Bath will get a $10 million federal loan to fund a 50,000-square-foot expansion to add 45 new housing units.
The Bangor Daily News reported the Plant Home will receive two community facilities loans totaling $10 million for the project. The retirement facility has 37 private apartments, 11 apartments in duplexes and a single-resident building.
The money for the loan came through the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s rural development program.
