The owner of Bayside Bowl in Portland has reached an agreement to buy adjacent, city-owned land that will allow the business to expand.
The Portland Press Herald reported that the Portland City Council on Monday voted 8-1 to sell the land for $340,018 to state Sen. Justin Alfond. Alfond has said he plans to invest $2.4 million into the expansion, which will include room for squash courts.
