The U.S. Navy has awarded Bath Iron Works and Cianbro Corp. nearly $100 million in contracts.
Bath Iron Works is receiving a $79.5 million modification to a previous contract for additional services related to the design and construction of the next generation destroyers, according to Rep. Chellie Pingree’s office.
Pittsfield-based Cianbro Corp. is receiving a $19.5 million contract for work on a dry dock at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard in Kittery. The work is expected to take place over the next year.
