Bath Iron Works has been awarded a $13 million contract modification for work on Arleigh Burke-class destroyers, the Portland Press Herald reported Monday.

BIW is currently competing against two other shipyards in a bid to win a $12.1 billion contract from the U.S. Coast Guard to build offshore patrol cutters.
