The Department of Defense has granted Bath Iron Works a $23 million contract modification for design and liaison work on the DDG-51 class of destroyers.
The Bangor Daily News reported spokesman Matt Wickenheiser said the shipyard anticipated the contract modification to allow the shipyard’s continued work at the Bath shipyard.
