Scarborough Downs and Brunswick Landing are officially out.
The battle for Amazon’s second headquarters has been narrowed to 20 potential sites, with Boston being the only one in New England being considered.
Steve Levesque, executive director of the Midcoast Regional Development Authority, made passing reference to the selection at Thursday’s MEREDA conference, saying that it was worth the exposure. He cited a quote from hockey great Wayne Gretzky, who once said, “You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take.”
They are: Atlanta; Austin; Chicago; Columbus, Ohio; Dallas; Denver; Indianapolis; Los Angeles; Miami; Montgomery County, Md.; Nashville; Newark; New York City; Northern Virginia; Philadelphia; Pittsburgh; Raleigh, N.C.; Toronto and Washington, D.C.
