A 24-room boutique hotel has opened in Kittery Foreside, adding to the York County town's hospitality scene following the recent debut of a neighborhood wine bar.
Located at 29 Wentworth St. in Kittery's downtown district, the Foreside Inn was built on the site of the former Enchanted Nights Bed & Breakfast, which closed in 2023 and was demolished to make way for the new inn.
Accommodations are spread across two buildings and include king rooms, double queen rooms and extended-stay suites with kitchenettes. Most rooms feature private balconies, and the inn is within walking distance of restaurants, shops and art galleries, both in Foreside and nearby Portsmouth, N.H. It's also a short drive from the Kittery Outlets on U.S. Route 1.
The Foreside Inn was developed by Madbury Real Estate Ventures, whose growing hospitality portfolio includes the Rockport House in Rockport, Mass., and co-ownership of the Coach House Inn in Salem, Mass.
"The Foreside Inn captures the creative spirit and chic aesthetic of Kittery Foreside, tucked into a cozy spot off the beaten path, just steps from all the area has to offer," said Taylor McMaster, Madbury's managing partner, in a news release.
The Foreside Inn joins the Water Street Inn as the second lodging option in Kittery Foreside.
