A brew pub and restaurant is set to open on Main Street in Yarmouth next week.
Brickyard Hollow Brewing Co. plans its grand opening for June 26, 4-6 p.m.
The brew pub takes over a downtown building at 236 Main St. that had been Anthony’s Dry Cleaners.
Brickyard Hollow is owned by Brad Moll, a real estate broker, and Frank Grondin, a Yarmouth building contractor. It will brew beer on site.
The architect is Grant Hays Associates of Falmouth. Sebago Technics Inc. is handling the site engineering.
When the project was first announced, Moll said that he and Grondin, both married with children in Yarmouth schools, have for a few years discussed opening a craft brewery in Yarmouth. Grondin is also part owner of Handy’s Market and Café on Main St. in Yarmouth.
In the 1800s, Brickyard Hollow was a muddy, flood-prone valley located in the center of Yarmouth. It was considered the line that divided the coastal shipbuilding community in the lower falls area from the inland farming community of the upper village.
Today, Brickyard Hollow shares an intersection with the public library on one corner and town hall on another.
