Brokerage’s community service day focuses on ‘renewing, energizing and donating’

Keller Williams Realty Maine associates came together on May 14 for RED Day, the company’s annual day of service dedicated to “renewing, energizing and donating” within local communities.

With nearly 500 agents statewide, the firm organized volunteer efforts across multiple communities, partnering with local organizations.

The year’s initiative included an animal orphanage in Old Town and a food drive and Red Cross blood drive in Portland.

Because of bad weather, projects scheduled with Falmouth Land Trust, Rebuilding Together LA and Sweetser will be rescheduled as part of a “mini-RED Day.”

Volunteers spent the day supporting veterans, organizing donations and assisting local nonprofits.

“RED Day is the most important day of the year for us. If you aren’t’ at RED Day, where are you?” said Rick Dow, a Keller Williams agent and co-chair of the KW Maine culture committee and Associate Leadership Council.

Austin, Texas-based Keller Williams Realty LLC is the world’s largest real estate franchise by agent count, according to a news release. The franchise is No. 1 in units and sales volume in the U.S.
