Brunswick’s planning board approved plans for a campus-style complex of large medical office buildings and smaller retail lots near Cook’s Corner.
The Forecaster reported the orientation of the medical/retail complex will mimic Cook’s Corner, where big-box stores are set back from the road, hidden by smaller, street-facing establishments.
In December, Brunswick planners studied plans to add an access road connecting the Cook’s Corner shopping area with Route 24, near Perryman Drive, thus speeding travel to the shopping area.
A year ago, Brunswick’s economic development director, Linda Smith, termed Cook’s Corner “a critical part of the community’s fabric” that also includes Brunswick Landing and the downtown area.
