Brunswick is studying whether to add an access road that could speed travel between Brunswick Landing and Cook’s Corner.
The Forecaster reported that Town Manager John Eldridge said a road of 1,500 feet could connect the Cook’s Corner shopping area with Route 24, near Perryman Drive.
The town hired Milone and MacBroom, a Portland consulting firm, to study whether the cost and other factors would make an access road feasible.
To pay for such a road, the town council has raised the possibility of using tax increment financing money from the zone that includes Brunswick Landing.
