David Gideon founded Building Controls in 2009, and leads the company today. Dave is an electronic security professional with over 30 years of industry experience. He holds a master’s low-energy electrician license from the state of Maine, as well as degrees in electronics engineering technology and fire science technology. He is certified by the National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET) in Fire Alarm Systems/Level III, has trained with numerous industry-leading manufacturers, and has completed education in the National Fire Protection Association’s Life Safety Code (NFPA-101) and the National Fire Alarm & Signaling Code (NFPA-72).
