Burt Shavitz, the namesake for the popular Burt’s Bees line of products, revealed in an forthcoming documentary that he was ousted by co-founder Roxanne Quimby.
The Associated Press reported that Shavitz is the subject of “Burt’s Buzz,” a documentary that will debut in major cities this Friday. In the film, he said Quimby kicked him out after having an affair with an employee, which ended with a settlement that gave him 37 acres of Maine land and an undisclosed amount of money.
“What I have in this situation is no regret,” he told the AP. “The bottom line is she’s got her world and I’ve got mine, and we let it go at that.”
