More than 1,200 members of the Maine Small Business Coalition have signed petitions to oppose a Republican-backed state health care overhaul that they say has caused rates to rise more than 25%.
Representatives of the coalition are hosting a press conference today in Boothbay, according to The Associated Press, to voice their opposition to the law change.
The coalition says that health care rates have risen for 90% of small businesses and that lower prices were promised for small businesses when the law passed.
