New England Cancer Specialists has opened its newest patient care center in Rock Row’s health campus, where it will provide patients with oncology care, including infusions, as the first phase of treatment services to be offered at the facility.
According to a news release, the Westbrook center will by this summer become a fully comprehensive treatment facility. In May NECS will add services for breast health, surgery, high-risk cancer genetics, survivorship, nutrition and counseling. Radiation oncology will become available in June.

NECS chief operations officer Claire Cote said, “This facility represents more than just new walls and larger rooms—it represents our relentless commitment to fighting cancer with everything we have.”
The cancer center will occupy 61,000 square feet at 11 Rock Row, in the 179,365-square-foot medical and research campus.
The Dempsey Center also recently opened in the complex, and other health providers including Plastic & Hand Surgical Associates, Rayus Radiology and Saco Bay Physical Therapy are projected to move in this year.
The NECS is an independent medical oncology and hematology practice with 20 physicians and additional centers in Topsham and Kennebunk, as well as in Portsmouth, N.H. Its Scarborough facilities are now consolidating services at the new Westbrook location. In 2022, NECS became an affiliate of Boston’s Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
Rock Row is a 110-acre mixed-use property under development by Waterstone Properties, of Needham, Mass.
