Caring Unlimited

2021 Goals

As we look ahead to 2021, and the continued uncertainty it brings, we will ensure that our critical services continue uninterrupted and that our programs are accessible and welcoming to the diverse community we are here to serve.

The pandemic has reinforced the critical need for our services by intensifying the challenges victims of domestic violence experience when planning for safety. At the same time, the broad economic impact has also affected our financial resources.

  • Sustain: We will prioritize our core services: providing direct support and individualized safety planning free of charge, 24 hours a day and meeting emergency needs while sustaining all other programs.
  • Innovate: We will utilize technology, social media, and creative strategies to extend our reach and meet the needs of the people we serve.
  • Engage: We are committed to changing the conditions which allow domestic violence to persist. To this end, we depend on the involvement of our entire community. We will build upon existing partnerships with members of the judicial, law enforcement, and health care systems as we advocate for systemic changes to better support and serve victims. Ongoing conversations with our dedicated volunteers, donors, corporate partners and municipal supporters will increase awareness and inspire involvement.
  • Include: We recognize that the root of domestic violence is oppression and that all forms of oppression intersect. Diversity, equity and inclusion will be at the forefront of our work.
