Central Maine Power will host its first-ever Resiliency Summit at the company’s headquarters on 83 Edison Drive in Augusta, on Thursday, April 30.
Its goal is to empower communities to adapt, recover and thrive amid environmental, economic, social and organizational challenges.
The summit will convene nonprofits, businesses, government agencies and community organizations to share insights.
CMP anticipates representatives from close to 60 organizations will participate.
Craig Nale, senior director for regulatory affairs, will discuss long‑term grid planning, investment strategies and system resiliency.
CMP President and CEO Linda Ball will also speak.

Interactive breakout sessions will include representatives from the Island Institute, Sweetser, Coastal Enterprises Inc., the Maine Black Chamber of Commerce and the Maine Development Foundation.
An emergency response panel discussion will feature Jenny Pierce, vice president of integrated operational services at Avangrid; Fred Lamontagne, senior manager for emergency operations at CMP; Philip Davis, director of Sagadahoc County Emergency Management Agency; and Sophie Piconi, executive director of the American Red Cross of Northern New England.
