Jennifer Hutchins, executive director of the Maine Association of Nonprofits, will be feted with the Portland Regional Chamber of Commerce’s “She Unites” award Wednesday night, recognizing her leadership and impact across Maine’s nonprofit community.
Hutchins is among four women who will be honored in this year’s edition of the annual WE Rock! Awards to celebrate female professionals making a powerful and lasting impact across the region.
By spotlighting the achievements of this year’s award recipients, the chamber aims to elevate their stories and inspire others to continue pushing boundaries, leading with purpose and strengthening the community.
“This event celebrates women who are making a meaningful difference across our region,” says Quincy Hentzel, the chamber’s president and CEO. “Their leadership, innovation, and commitment to community help shape a stronger and more vibrant Greater Portland.”
The other honorees include: Colleen Croteau, chief operating officer at Freeport-based Maine Beer Co.; for the “She Inspires” award: Victoria Morales, executive director of Project Home; for the “She Empowers” award; and Lynn Tillotson, president and CEO of Visit Portland, for the “She Rises” award.
The event will take place on Wednesday, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., at the McGoldrick Center, on the Portland campus of the University of Southern Maine.
Community members are invited to attend and show their support for the honorees and organizations they lead.
