National restaurant chain Chick-fil-A plans to open its first location in Maine next year.
The Bangor Daily News reported that the Georgia-based company has submitted plans for a 4,974-square-foot restaurant on Bangor Mall property at 663 Stillwater Ave. The proposed restaurant is expected to open by the end of 2016.
“Bangor, Maine, is a great community that we are excited to become a member of,” Brenda Morrow, Northeast regional manager for Chick-fil-A, told the newspaper. “We very much look forward to serving the communities in Bangor, with an active commitment to supporting local schools and charities.”
