C&L Aviation is set to begin a $3 million renovation at its Bangor facilities, creating 100 additional jobs over the next two years, it said Thursday.
The expansion, which is supported in part by a $1.2 million federal grant awarded to the city, will include refurbishment of a newly leased hangar and two new buildings. C&L does aircraft maintenance and support.
“Our company is always growing,” C&L CEO Chris Kilgour said in a prepared statement. “This funding and the upcoming expansion will help fuel more growth, and we are grateful to the city of Bangor and our state’s congressional leadership for their continued support.”
This next phase of growth will add to C&L’s corporate interiors capabilities, a growing market for the company, with a newly refurbished interior hangar, according to a release. Environmental efficiencies will also be added throughout the facility and the increased hangar space and new storage buildings will allow C&L to service more aircraft at once.
