A new co-working space in Bar Harbor is expected to open this April, giving professionals and small businesses a new and affordable option for office space.
The Mount Desert Islander reported that Anchorspace, which will open on April 1 at 337 Main St., is seeking to raise $25,000 for startup costs through crowdfunding website Indiegogo.com. Anchorspace’s website said it seeks to provide affordable office space in Bar Harbor where few such options exist. Rates will range from $30 a day to $350 a month.
Maine Tourism Association CEO Christopher Fogg told the newspaper that a space like Anchorspace could help encourage smaller businesses to stay downtown as they grow.
