Associated Constructors of Maine yesterday announced its support for a $50 million racing track and casino project proposed for Washington County.
The trade group’s board of directors recently voted to endorse the project, which awaits approval from voters in November, because they believe it could encourage economic development in the county, John O’Dea, ACM’s director of communications, told Mainebiz.
The group, an affiliate of the Association of General Contractors of America, represents more than 275 construction-related businesses in Maine.
