CORE, a commercial real estate firm in Portland, announced the appointment of Ben Spencer as its first shareholder from within its brokerage team.
CORE was founded in 2017. Spencer joined the firm in 2020. As senior vice president, he has led CORE’s central Maine office, in Hallowell, and built a significant portfolio of transactions across the region, according to a news release.
“This is an important step as we continue to create opportunities for our brokers to grow with the firm,” said Josh Soley, CORE’s president.
“This is a meaningful step for me, both professionally and personally,” said Spencer.
Spencer began his real estate career at age 19 when he purchased his first multifamily apartment complex. Before joining CORE, he led the sales team at A-COPI, a commercial copier sales and service company in Gardiner. His performance earned him recognition as one of New England’s top sales professionals from 2017 to 2020, including President’s Club honors in 2019.
CORE’s next phase of growth includes geographic expansion, continued investment in its platform and the introduction of additional shareholder opportunities for high-performing team members. The firm will also launch a new website.
