Bangor-based Cross Insurance has bought a firm in Wakefield, Mass.
The company acquired insurance brokerage firm Mazonson LLC for an undisclosed price, according to a press release. Cross will rename the Mazonson office Cross Insurance Wakefield and add its 34 employees to the company’s 400-person roster. “Expanding our presence in Massachusetts was important to us, but choosing the right firm to do so was paramount,” President Royce Cross said in the release.
Cross Insurance is one of the largest insurance firms in New England with more than 30 offices, 14 of which are in Maine.
