The Cumberland County Civic Center has sold over 22,000 tickets for the Maine premiere of Cirque du Soleil’s “Saltimbanco,” breaking sales records for the 35-year-old facility.
According to a press release on the show, the civic center expanded its seating to accommodate 3,500 per show, which will have eight shows through this weekend, as renovation work outside the civic center’s Free Street entrance continues.
Saltimbanco is the Montreal-based circus troupe’s longest-running show, which will end its run this year with a final show in December.
