The head of northern New England’s largest distributor of residential heating fuel stepped down on April 30, according to a company announcement released today.
P. Andrews Nixon has retired after 35 years as Portland-based Dead River Co.’s CEO, president and chairman. Dead River, which was founded in 1909, employs 1,000 people, operates a chain of Maine convenience store and has a commercial property management division.
Robert Moore, Dead River’s former senior vice president of its petroleum division, was named the company’s president and CEO.
