The developer behind the Inn at Diamond Cove has proposed a $10 million mixed-use development that would include office space and condos in Portland’s East End.
The Portland Press Herald reported that Bateman Partners’ proposal calls for a four-story, mixed-use condo at the intersection of India and Fore Streets and a five-story, mixed-use office building at 16 Middle St.
The project is among others being proposed in the area, the newspaper noted, including the controversial Portland Co. project, which could become the target of a referendum. However, unlike the Portland Co. project, the new proposal doesn’t call for any zoning changes.
