Forefront Partners, a group with redevelopment plans for Thompson’s Point in Portland, has moved ahead on its $105 million project by closing a sale on the land. The sale price for the 25 acres along the Fore River, just east of I-295, was not disclosed.
The Bangor Daily News reported Tony Donovan, a broker with Fishman Realty who represented the seller, Thompson’s Point Inc., confirmed the sale.
In June, the developers announced they were pushing back construction of a sports complex and parking garage at the site and moving up plans for a 175,000-square-foot office building for which they have a tenant, still undisclosed.
Development of the project is expected to begin this fall, the paper reported.
