Professional inventor, entrepreneur and reality television star Doug Hall will add a new qualification to his resume this fall: University of Maine professor.
Hall, a 1981 UMaine graduate and founder and CEO of Eureka! Ranch, an innovation think tank in Cincinnati that assists small businesses, will teach two courses —Â “The Beginning of an Idea” and “Making Your Idea Real” — through the university’s Foster Student Innovation Center, the school’s department of university relations told Mainebiz.
Since Hall’s years as a “master marketing inventor” at Procter & Gamble, Hall has helped companies including Nike, American Express and Coca-Cola to develop new products. A judge on ABC’s “American Inventor” reality show, Hall started his first business in Portland, selling packaged magic tricks, at age 12.
