The owner of Dunkin’ Donuts stores in the Brewer area is planning a $3 million commercial kitchen that will add capacity for franchise expansion throughout the region.
The Bangor Daily News reported that Bangor CPL LLC, which supplies doughnuts to nearly 40 stories in central and eastern Maine, is planning to build the facility in Hermon, replacing an older one in Bangor.
Bruce MacDonald of Bangor CPL told the newspaper that the larger commercial kitchen’s capacity will allow up to 100 new Dunkin’ Donuts stores over the next few years. The kitchen is expected to open by year’s end.
