Educate Maine

2021 Goals

As a founding member of the MaineSpark coalition, Educate Maine supports the statewide attainment goal that 60% of Maine people will have a degree or credential of value by 2025 that positions them for success. To achieve this, we will continue to:

  • Convene education and business leaders to strengthen connections between education and the workforce through programs and events, including the annual Education Symposium
  • Report on Maine education data from cradle to career and advocate for policies that support all Maine people toward achieving their highest educational potential
  • Celebrate and cultivate Maine’s teachers through the rigorous Maine Teacher of the Year program in partnership with the Maine Department of Education
  • Develop and sustain strong business-education partnerships through the Education Leaders Experience professional program in partnership with Unum, Thomas College, and the Maine Principals’ Association
  • Grow the number of people with the skills necessary to fill high-quality, in-demand tech jobs statewide through our Project>Login program
  • Build students’ professional networks and skills and cultivate talent pipelines to Maine companies through the FocusMaine Intern Experience program
