An out-of-state equity group last week purchased Saunders Brothers Inc., the Westbrook-based wood products manufacturer, through a foreclosure sale from Bank of America, according to a press release.
SB Acquisitions LLC purchased the roughly 100-year-old business, which manufacturers wooden dowels and furniture components, on Nov. 2 for an undisclosed price. Saunders Brothers has roughly 120 employees at locations in Westbrook, Greenwood and Fryeburg, the release stated.
Josh Saunders will remain as company president and the new owners are committed to retaining the 120 jobs, according to Steve Vlachos, senior associate at CBI in Portland, who brokered the deal.
