Fairchild Semiconductor has filed a patent infringement lawsuit against Infineon Technologies AG.
South Portland-based Fairchild said last Friday that it believed certain Infineon branded products infringe on one or more of eight Fairchild patents, according to a press release from the company. Fairchild has brought claims against Infineon in the U.S. District Court for the District of Maine and the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware.
The two companies have been involved in extended cross-license negotiations, and the dispute recently escalated to litigation, the press release said.
