Plowshares Community Farm in Gorham is receiving a $97,000 federal grant to boost local food production.
The Associated Press reported that the grant comes from the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Local Food Promotion Program.
The funds will help the farm to expand its storefront, enabling it to market locally produced food from more than 10 farms in Maine.
