Maine will receive nearly $360,000 from the federal government to improve and promote five of its scenic byways.
The grants heading to Maine, part of the Federal Highway Administration’s National Scenic Byways Program, are a small portion of the $40.7 million being doled out to 160 projects in 43 states.
The grants to Maine’s scenic byways:
- $225,874 Old Canada Road Scenic Byway
- $44,000 to Schoodic Scenic Byway
- $32,740 to Fish River Byway
- $31,500 to Seboomook Scenic Byway
- $25,000 to Blackwoods Byway
