The public will have its final chance to weigh in on Plum Creek Timber Co.’s development proposal for the Moosehead Lake region.
The Land Use Regulation Commission is holding the last of four public hearings tomorrow in Greenville. Plum Creek is asking LURC to rezone more than 400,000 acres of land around Moosehead Lake to make way for roughly 1,000 house lots and two resorts, which will be built in a 20,000-acre development zone.
Following the public hearings, LURC will deliberate on Plum Creek’s proposal. No date has been set for a final LURC decision.
