Four Sanford businesses are homeless this morning after a weekend fire destroyed the industrial building where they were located.
Northern Machinery Sales; DM Technology, which makes computer parts; Applied Motion, an electronics company; and Alltherm, a heating and air-conditioning company; occupied the building at the Sanford Regional Airport.
Officials are investing the cause of the fire, but said gasoline and flammable materials inside the building, like the tantalum DM Technology used to make computer parts, may have elevated the fire, according to the Portland Press Herald.
