An Ashland pellet mill was destroyed by fire early Tuesday morning, leaving a dozen people out of work.
Officials haven’t determined what started the fire at Northeast Pellets, which broke out just after midnight as employees worked in the building, according to the Bangor Daily News. No injuries were reported. Owned by Matthew Bell, the mill has been located in Ashland since 2006. Officials said the mill is insured and the owner plans to rebuild, according to the AP.
