Developer CBP2 has revealed the first renderings of its proposed redevelopment of the Portland Co. complex, showing just a glimpse of the retail, office and residential activity planned there.
The Portland Press Herald reported that the Portland developer’s renderings, unveiled Wednesday, show plans for three of the 16 buildings on the 58 Fore St. property, along with a plaza that would provide waterfront access. The images can be viewed here.
The newspaper said Portland’s Historic Preservation Board has recommended preserving eight of the 16 buildings at the Portland Co. complex, and that the city’s planning board is expected to consider whether to recommend the site as a historic district next month.
