A little more than a year after stepping down as executive director of the Midcoast Regional Development Authority at Brunswick Landing, Kristine Logan will take on a similar role leading the Kennebec Regional Development Authority.
In her new role, Logan will lead development of the First Park Technology & Commerce Center, an Oakland-based business and industrial park ranked Maine’s 15th largest in the 2026 Mainebiz Book of Lists.
Logan, honored as a Mainebiz Woman to Watch in 2022, resigned as executive director of the Midcoast Regional Redevelopment Authority two months after an accidental PFAS spill at the former Naval Air Force base in August 2024.
At the Kennebec Regional Development Authority, Logan succeeds Jim Dinkle, who retired last year after eight years at the helm. Under his watch, seven lots were added.
“FirstPark represents a unique opportunity to support long-term economic growth, attract new businesses and strengthen collaboration across the region’s 24 partner communities,” Logan said in a LinkedIn post announcing her new title.
“I’m looking forward to rolling up my sleeves, making connections and helping unlock the full potential of FirstPark for central Maine,” she added.
Logan will be part of a two-person team at Kennebec Regional Development Authority.
“The team is just myself and an assistant, but our plan to work together with the great trade organizations, communities and agencies here in the region and the state are going to assure that FirstPark meets its goal to fully develop the business park that benefits the surrounding communities,” she told Mainebiz via email.
Steve Levesque, a Greenville-based business and economic development consultant who was Logan's predecessor at the Midcoast Regional Development Authority, said that Logan is an "excellent choice" to lead the Kennebec Regional Development Authority and FirstPark.
"She is an extremely talented and collaborative leader who understands Maine’s economic landscape and is an energetic advocate for technology-driven economic development," he told Mainebiz.
